Surf's Up dude!

An aloha themed baby shower wouldn't be complete without a Surf inspired cake! Add the island flavors of pineapple cake with a coconut cream filling and you are practically in paradise! Aloha!

Baltimore Ravens Baby Shower....say what?!

I love challenges! Give me a task and creative freedom and I'm a happy girl! This was a fun cake because it was both of these components. The task: create a baby shower cake that would be girly & feminine yet include the colors/theme of the Baltimore Ravens (Raven, purple & gold). What I ended up with was a cute baby shower cake with pastel tones of purple and yellow and a little black bird as a focal point.

Football Cake pops

Made these yummy cake pops for Superbowl Sunday. I attempted to make a little football field base to stick them into, but didn't have time or the resources to add the goal posts on each end, but it still looked like a football field.

Mid-Week Baking itch

It's sad to admit, but I get the baking itch/baking bug at least once a week. (sometimes more) The only way to scratch that itch you ask? Make something delicious and pretty! It's really a horrible thing...I get the itch, I bake, I eat, then I have to spend more time on the treadmill. And it's a never ending cycle folks! Never ending.

This week's baking itch resulted in white cake cupcakes with mini-chocolate chips, and a chocolate ganache frosting. I believe I have already eaten 4. (also sad to admit)

Mini Chocolate Bundt Cakes

I haven't used my mini bundt pan in a long time. As I was cleaning out my cabinets I stumbled across it and several other baking pans I hardly use. I love when cleaning results in yummy bakes goods!

Peanut butter & chocolate Cupcakes

First cupcake order in quite a while. Hands are doing better, so I'm glad to be back in the kitchen and baking away! These are chocolate cupcakes with a peanut butter filling, topped with rich chocolate frosting, Butterfinger crumble, a Reese's Peanut Butter cup and a drizzle of chocolate. If you like the combo of peanut butter and chocolate...this is the cupcake for YOU!

Love at First Bite!

I neglected my blog again...over the last few months I was very busy with the holidays and family in from out of town. I also had a flare up of arthritis in my hands making it really difficult to do any baking or decorating. Somehow in the middle of it all, I cranked out these little gingerbread people to give to friends at work. Even though Christmas is gone...gingerbread cookies sound pretty darn good right now!
